 Full Description:
This chapter summarizes the key findings of a study aimed at assessing the feasibility of creating workforce development programs to help Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients and similar low-income individuals obtain and maintain paraprofessional LTC jobs. The findings indicate that creating workforce development programs to help TANF recipients and other low-income individuals obtain and maintain paraprofessional long-term care jobs is feasible. Such programs can be designed and implemented in a number of ways that are discussed in the study. Challenges to the implementation of such programs are also discussed.
