The website www.asha.org/njc is the home of the National Joint Committee on the Communication Needs of Persons with Severe Disabilities. The NJC, as it is known, is a comprised of representatives from eight professional organizations that serve the communication needs of persons with severe disabilities.

This website provides technical reports, references, and links about communication services and supports for children and adults with severe disabilities. For example, there is/are:
- A technical report on eligibility for communication services and supports
- A communication Bill of Rights
- The full text of two published journal articles
- Materials from six presentations
- A series of FAQs about communication development, assessment, and intervention
- Guidelines for meeting the communication needs of persons with severe disabilities
