The Centre for Welfare Reform
|
|
The Centre for Welfare Reform is an advocacy organization operating in the United Kingdom and addresses a wide range of social issues across all populations. Its founder, Simon Duffy, has a strong background in person-centered planning that has led to his awareness and the organizations’ focus on issues near and dear to the hearts of those interested in person-centered supports and people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Among its many initiatives, there are at least three with a focus on improving the quality of their lives:
- Personalised Support
- Disabled Children, Young People & their Families
- Mental Health Reform
The organization’s website also has an extensive library with short, pithy articles. Each explains a barrier(s) to social justice for some group of people in society, then proposes a solution(s). Click on the “Web Links” tab above to go directly to a few of particular interest to those who visit the Quality Mall.
