 Full Description:
A programmable thermostat divides each day into four different time periods: wake, day, evening, and sleep. It allows the user to set the time each period starts. It also allows the user to set a different temperature for each period. If you go to bed at 10 PM, you may want to set the evening period to start at 10 PM and your furnace temperature down to 62 degrees. If you get up at 7 AM, you may want to set the thermostat to switch to the wake setting of 70 degrees at 6:30 AM.

The drawback that programmable thermostats have is they are very difficult to program. Finding an easy and intuitive way to program a set-back thermostat has proven to be an elusive goal for even the largest thermostat manufacturers.

SmartWay’s Talking Thermostat™ family is specifically designed for persons with visual, cognitive and other impairments. It provides complete, step by step, voice assistance for all programming functions. It has a HELP button that when pressed provides the name and phone number of Customer Assistance.
It has a REPORT button that when pressed allows the user to hear current time, temperature, and thermostat settings. It has separate Weekday and Weekend programs and also a lighted display.

Other features allow the users a Hear and See Low-Battery Alert; Hear and See Dirty Filter Alert; and Hear and See when it's time for yearly system tune-up. It works with standard 24 Volt single stage heating and cooling systems and can be used with Gas, Oil, or Electric furnaces with or without central air conditioning.

Direct replacement for most other manufacturer's products.

Press the temperature UP button three times and hear a real voice say "78, 79, 80" each time you press the button

Press the temperature DOWN button three times and hear a real voice say "80, 79, 78" each time you press the button.

Press the REPORT button and hear: "The indoor temperature is 75 degrees, The Thermostat setting is 75 degrees."

The report button also gives you the day of the week and time of the day.

PRESS the Day Time button and you will hear the day of the week and the time of the day. Then a voice will ask you: "Do you want to change the Day or Time settings? Press Yes or No."

By following the voice instructions the user can program all the thermostat functions.
