 Full Description:
This is a guide for individuals with a disability to take charge of the hiring process for personal care attendants and employment specialists. It reviews interviewing questions, strategies for promoting quality of life, and the rights of the individual with the disability who is doing the hiring. This video also covers how to handle "Hard Choices" and "Big Decisions". "'The single most important factor toward a long and happy employer-employee or personal care attendant service-recipient relationship is a respect for the rights of each other.' You, the recipient of assistance, have the right." (taken, in part, from the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community Publication catalog).
