Description from publisher's website:

"This resource helps people deal with death, loss and the process of grief by showing how people support and nurture each other. The story describes the responses of staff, family, neighbors and individuals in a group home after a sudden death of an individual with a developmental disability."

Click on the "Web links" tab to download the entire book as a PDF. It is centered around an extended story that tells how a house coordinator gives everyone support after the sudden death of one of the persons she supports. The story illustrates many steps, including:
- Telling the DSPs about the death
- Telling the person's housemates about the death, and anticipating different reactions from each
- Telling neighbors about the death
- Supporting housemates in visiting the funeral home, including supporting one person who wanted to touch the body
- Supporting house mates in attending the funeral
- Supporting housemates in holding a party to remember the person
